The main 2019 topic is Corporate Identity. What is your view on this topic?

Corporate culture – the company’s values, the way of thinking, working and acting – is the key to fair-play and equality at work. When such an approach is part of the corporate philosophy, both the shareholders and the employees benefit from it. Ensuring equal treatment and supporting diversity should become the priority for all management. A clear position and goals by which the company openly agrees to promote equal pay and other spheres of diversity that are relevant to it.

What idea would you like to pass on to conference guests and why?

Over the ten years that the Equal Pay Day conference has been organized, the awareness of gaps in salaries between men and women has grown; businesses have started to focus more on building mixed teams in which women are better represented. Many women have gone through mentoring programs, have gained new inspiration, contacts, self-confidence and courage to run their own business. However, the numbers speak for themselves: the difference in salaries between men and women continues to be high and the representation of women in management is low. The support of diversity and equality remains a current topic and I believe that the conference will bring women some inspiration to address this issue to support other women in their development and get involved in the development of an inclusive corporate culture in their organization.

What do you expect to gain from this conference?

Mutual inspiration and ideas for my further work.
