Yulia Oleinik, Head of Office at UNICEF Czechia, delivered an impactful session at Equal Pay Day 2025 in Prague. Her topic centered on UNICEF’s efforts to support the Czech government and partners in addressing the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. Under her leadership, UNICEF has provided health, education, and protection services to over 410,000 refugees, while working to make national systems more inclusive and responsive to future crises.
Yulia also highlighted a new initiative aimed at engaging the private sector to provide Ukrainian youth with skill-building and employment opportunities. This program is designed to help young people pursue their professional aspirations while bringing fresh talent to private sector partners.
Her session emphasized the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors to create sustainable solutions for vulnerable communities.
