I m a trainer and a facilitator focusing on assertivenes, sense of agency and counteracting gender stereotypes. I succefully run a NGO – Laboratory for Change, where we create safe space for women’s development.

Mentoring topic:  Big changes – how to deal with it?

Courage, assertiveness, believing in yourself and making mistakes.

Ten years ago, I was a clerk with the prospect of a permanent job until retirement. And I felt that I was dying inside, I hated my job. When I imagined my daughter asking “what are you doing at work?” I felt shame. I have completely changed my professional and private life. I run NGO, I am a trainer, I fight for the better world. First, I decided to make changes, because I wanted to be a role model for my daughter, so that she would have a woman in her surroundings who has the courage to do what she loves in life. Now I’m doing it for myself. Every day I face the consequences of my choice: those more and those less pleasant. I struggle with doubts, I have moments when I dream of returning to a “cushy job” and days of glory when I am so proud of myself. I am a professional trainer. I teach how courage, assertiveness, believing in yourself and allowing yourself to make mistakes help women and girls Reach for the stars.

What is the best advice you have ever gained?

Criticism it is just an opinion, it’s not true about you. It’s someone’s opinion about your skill / talent / idea. You can take it, ignore it, or say: I think differently of myself.

Are you planning any change in 2022?

I want to focus more on my needs and wellbeing. I have a talent to help people, encourage them to take care of themselves on many levels. Now I want to use this skill to help myself.

How do you refill your energy?

Doing nothing. Spending time with myself 🙂

What do you do when you can’t do something, as you imagined?

I let myself to be angry, disappointed or grief. I try not to cover it by “doing something” or saying “next time..”
