Mentoring topic:  Preparing for change? Build your courage muscles!

“I wish I had the courage to…“

✔️ ask for a pay rise
✔️ jump at that new opportunity
✔️ stand up for myself
✔️ leave my partner
✔️ change my career path
✔️ change my life…!

How would YOU fill in the blanks?

We all want to make changes, yet for most of us, changes are scary!

Something inside you stops you from doing what you want to do. You may feel paralysed, or fearful or just unsure that you can do it. Is it that you don’t feel courageous enough?

That would be hardly surprising. Apparently, only one in every three people think of themselves as courageous. Yet, it takes courage to make a change in your life! Well, that’s the bad news. But there is good news too! You can develop courage. Courage is just like a muscle, we can strengthen it by use!

So, dear ladies, let’s talk about courage and all the things that you can do to grow your courage muscles and get ready to make big changes in your life!

What is the best advice you have ever gained?

I received many great pieces of advice from my own coaches and mentors, however there’s one related to the subject of my mentoring (courage) that made a tremendous difference to me: Fire and only then aim!

How do you refill your energy?

Walking in nature, outdoor sports, yoga, dancing, spending time with family, great conversations with friends, a good book or a good massage also do the job 🙂

What do you do when you can’t do something, as you imagined?

I always try to learn from my mistakes – I keep asking: how could I do it better next time? If I cannot figure it out, I ask others for advice or hire a coach.
