We are proud to announce that the Equal Pay Day conference will once again receive support from the Central European Initiative (CEI) in 2026 — marking the fourth consecutive year of this meaningful partnership. Twice already, our project has been recognized as a CEI Flagship Event, an honour that confirms the growing regional impact of our mission to close the gender pay gap.

Under the title “Equal Pay Day Conference Going International! V.”, the 17th annual event will take place on 26–27 March 2026 in Prague, supported by CEI’s Thematic Agenda Empowering Youth, Women and Other Vulnerable Groups.

The project continues to build on years of collaboration across Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together partners from 10 CEI countriesBulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovakia and Ukraine.

In 2026, the conference will again provide a platform for over 800 participants to share experience, knowledge and good practices on equal opportunities and fair pay. The project will run from February to June 2026 and will focus on smooth coordination, partnership building and international cooperation across the CEI region. The core of the project will be the Equal Pay Day conference welcoming representatives from CEI partner organisations, young Ukrainian professionals and participants. The event will offer expert-led mentoring, discussions on equal opportunities and fair pay, and dedicated support for Ukrainian women entrepreneurs, who will present their projects and engage in regional networking.

A strong communication and media campaign will run throughout the project period, highlighting CEI support, showcasing female role models, and raising awareness about equal pay and women’s economic empowerment across Central and Eastern Europe. These efforts contribute directly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

Thanks to CEI’s continuous trust and partnership, the Equal Pay Day conference has evolved into a strong regional platform for cooperation, awareness-raising, and action giving voice to hundreds of women leaders who are shaping a fairer and more inclusive future.
